Clinical Training Program.

Placement Commitment Length:
The full commitment length for our placements is 12 months.

Breakdown of Weekly Requirements (20 hours):

1. Direct Counseling Experience:

   • 15 weekly hours onsite, via telehealth, or a combination of both. This includes individual, family, and group sessions.

2. Supervision:

   • 3 hours of open availability to schedule any combination of supervision units needed, based on direct clinical counseling provided in a single week.

3. Administrative/Documentation Work:

   • 2 hours dedicated to administrative and documentation tasks.

Monthly Fee for Placement:
We do not charge any monthly fees for placement at our site.

Paid Trainee Positions:
Yes, we offer onsite placement incentives of $1,000 per month. To qualify, trainees must schedule 15 weekly hours of direct clinical counseling experience onsite.

Client Load and Treatment Focus:
Our client load typically begins with individual treatment. However, for placements involving young children and adolescents, we encourage contact with parents for collateral and family sessions. Couples’ sessions may also be possible depending on the case, usually conducted outside of the onsite school placement and via telehealth.

Opportunities to Work with Groups:
Absolutely! Group therapy is an integral part of our treatment model. It is rare not to facilitate at least one group session, especially with onsite experience. Onsite group facilitation may involve up to six clients, meeting once a week for an hour. The formation of groups is tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
